RAG has asked the Cleveland Law Department to start a pilot project in our ward to move registered sex offenders to legal addresses.
The loophole in the residency laws forbids offenders from living near schools and other prohibited entities but fails to place a penalty on failing to do so. Each municipal law director must file a civil action against each offender to force them to move.

9 schools in Ward 14 - Meet your Neighbors: http://rag14.weebly.com/news.html
...................................................................
Dear Mr Triozzi,
We have discovered that sex offender illegal residency is an epidemic in our neighborhood. We found sex offenders illegally residing near every school we checked on Cleveland's west side.
Our recent search of 9 schools showed 65 registered offenders living illegally around the schools.
We believe this is unacceptable and inexcusable. We are asking you to help us reclaim our neighborhoods this summer.
We ask that a pilot project be implemented immediately in our neighborhoood, specifically around these 9 schools in Ward 14.
(see article and list) http://rag14.weebly.com/news.html
We would like all of the offenders moved to legal addresses prior to the beginning of school in August.
We suggest the following:
1. Send letter to each offender instructing them that they have up to 30 days to move to a legal address.
2. File civil proceedings immediately after the 30 days for each offender not in compliance.
3. Check registry weekly for violations and follow steps 1 and 2 for new offenders not in compliance.
Report results every 30 days.
