“Rape Aggression Defense Systems Training (R.A.D)”
RAD is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques. It is a comprehensive self-defense
course for women high school age and above. That begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction
and avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defensive training. The course is led by
officers of the Cleveland Division of Police, who are certified R.A.D. instructors.
The cornerstone of R.A.D. Systems, this course has its foundations in education and awareness. The
course includes lecture, discussion and self defense techniques, suitable for women of all ages and
abilities.

Class is limited to 30 participants (Must attend all three classes to complete the program, fitness-type clothing is recommended)
