Better late than never! Millennium Park [1] opened in 2004, long after the 2000 festivities. Not a problem, this green space/public art extravaganza has lasting appeal.
How do you know when public art is successful? When it becomes a destination for tourists and locals that is a good sign. I visited Millennium Park for the first time three weeks ago and was very impressed. There is a lot Cleveland can learn from Chicago. In Cleveland this land would probably be a parking lot or a sports arena.
