The Meet the Bloggers [1]interview with library administrators Holly Carroll and Pam Eyredam triggered this ponder. How many people see libraries as part of their growing lives, but then "move on?"
I see this behavior in my own friends and family with other essential societal institutions. Say, public transportation. There is a time in their lives when they depend on public transportation and then they "move on," and don't look back.
Libraries, public transportation, the arts--you can not leave these behind.
