The Haiti quake must not be dismissed as an 'act of God' This was foreseeable. We now owe it to Haitians to spend one tenth of aid on preparing for future earthquakes

The number of people killed in last week's devastating Haitian earthquake has risen to 75,000, while 250,000 were injured and a million left homeless, the Haitian government said January 19, 2010.

Some people (including some Christians, most Jews, and nearly all Muslims) understand their Scriptures to be the exact words of God. They believe that their Scriptures have been miraculously preserved to be in exactly the state God created them, because any change would represent the corruption of the word of God.

But doesn't ANY difference affect the reliability of the Bible?

It depends how you understand Scripture.
