02/21/2009 - 09:30 02/21/2009 - 12:00 Etc/GMT-5 The Cleveland Engineering Society (CES) is collaborating with the Cuyahoga Valley Career Center (CVCC) to present the “Engineering for You” Career Expo. The “Engineering for You” Career Expo will host 9th – 12th grade students and their parents. This event is designed to provide students with an opportunity to:
· Learn about the opportunities and benefits of a career in engineering · Discover engineering careers from A to Z by exploring different types of engineering disciplines at booths sponsored by leading companies and engineering associations · Talk to representatives from northeast Ohio colleges that offer engineering majors How you can help: Participate in the “Engineering for You” Career Expo as an exhibitor by signing up to represent your company or as an individual representing your profession. Be ready to demonstrate, provide information and answer questions on what type of engineer you are and what you do on the job. You can promote your profession and help fill the pipeline with future engineers by providing the opportunity for students to interact with engineers through use of hands-on activities, demonstrations, visual aids and other materials.
