Cleveland Public Library - Social Sciences Department: Book Club Discussion

Submitted by newmillenniumli... on Thu, 01/28/2010 - 14:13.

Good Afternoon Everyone!
The Social Sciences Department of the Cleveland Public Library will start a new session for their book club discussions beginning Thursday, March 11, 2010. Our discussion will be held in the Social Sciences Department where we will discuss the book entitled: Home From Nowhere: Remaking Our Everyday World for the 21st Century, by James Howard Kunstler.

In "Home From Nowhere," the author of the landmark book Geography of Nowhere not only shows that the original American dream--the desire for peaceful, pleasant places in which to work and live-- still has a strong hold on our imaginations, but offers innovative, eminently practical ways to make that dream a reality. (The author will be at Cleveland Public Library as part of the Writers & Readers Series on March 14, 2010.)

Please join us for an enlightened book discussion.  A copy of the title may be reserved or picked up in the Social Sciences Department.

Feel free to bring your lunch.  Coffee and light refreshments will be provided.  We look forward to seeing you there!

As always, thank you for your patronage!
