The Honolulu fish auction is a schizoid experience.    

The animals (fish) are auctioned to other animals (human).   Then the cooler animals are air freighted all around the world and also taken to tables in Hawaii - the experience is both very primative and quite sophisticated at the same time. 

The cooler animals are sliced and cored  (see the little pinkish plug on the white paper square on each) to show the color of their flesh.   The all have QR codes and weight on their inventory tags.
