 | jerleen justus hero: mockery lies underhanded machinations manipulations to the rights requests of residential property ownersSubmitted by Quest-News-Serv... on Mon, 06/04/2012 - 23:57. As I sat in the BOZA hearing this morning and listened to all the bull, lies and self proclamations - it crossed my mind to just get up and walk out.  However, I stayed to hear the outcome of the mockery that was made in response to the rights and requests of residential property owners.   I was astounded  at watching the face of "Man of the People 1997"  beat on his chest  and preach about all HE'S done in getting places like the rowdy gun-bangin' Moda, Mirage, Argos, and Envy, etc., out of the neighborhoods.   I do believe that he forgot that it was block clubs members and residents in the community who got behind him and pushed to get these places closed.   He neglected to mention Rodeo  - where he asked myself and others to write a letter backing him up before BOZA.   I was beyond dumb struck to hear such fact-twisting synopsis' of meetings, conversations and discussions that have taken place over the past several years.  The promises made and double crosses.   If our Council representatives,  OCI and other Community Development Corps. are all about business owners, do you think it's about time we have an election and seat someone to represent the ordinary residents?  With regard to the so called "Good Neighbor Agreements" referred to by Cimperman, he knows darn well that those are useless and it's a waste of good ink to even print them.  I was present when Dante himself arrogantly laughed and threw  the GNA (Good Neighbor Agreement) back in all our faces stating that he only signed it to get what he wanted and made it quite clear that honoring it was not on his agenda.  The GNA was signed and executed  by TWDC Ex-Executive Director, Chris Garland, Project Manager Sammy Catania, Dante owners Giancarlo Callachia, Dante, Jason Beudert, myself and  the good councilman. Just give it a little more time -- all the lies, underhanded machinations and manipulations are beginning to seep out of the woodwork and maybe, just maybe, the members of the Board of Zoning Appeals and others will finally get a look see at the real mastermind and his  entourage behind all this crap.   Mrs. Kirtock and her attorney were right on point and summed it all up very well.  Robert Carillio stood with his hand up more than half of the meeting and was never given an opportunity to speak.  What a fine fiddle of a day it would be if Henry resigned as President of the TWDC Board and citizens like Robert Shores would come forward and spill ALL the beans?   During the hearing, Cimperman and Zone (Ren & Stimpy) kept rubbing their heads together whispering to one another while others were trying to talk - but when Dobbins posed a question to Zone, he quickly passed the buck to Cimperman and OCI Reps. People are beginning to catch on - if you do not sell out to the Councilman's bidding when it comes to throwing people under the bus - you become "the Devil" and he (Cimperman ) wants to play the music you dance to. Another issue that just caused me to choke was the statement made that more and more of these kind of places would soon be popping up along both Lorain and Detroit Avenues. Sad story is, I'm sorry to say, I voted for this "Man of the People" when he took the stand of being for the people.  Boy, did I get fooled.  This charming fellow (in sheep's clothing) once acted like he was my best friend until I refused to do his bidding and sellout the very principals and people I stood for.  I have e-mails to prove it. Dear Ms Jerlene Justus, I wanted to thank you most sincerely from the bottom of my heart for all you have done for the neighborhood and for me personally. First the neighborhood: your co-chairpersonship brought more people to the meetings and created a real dynamism that I hope continues. Having heated discussions are important and I have said a thousand times I wish more people would come to block clubs like Central Tremont, especially when you go to a meeting where the only people are the organizer, 2 residents, and a councilperson. Activity and organization and intensity are key ingredients to a neighborhood's success. Secondly, I have learned a lot from you as a citizen and a writer, and yes a friend. What I appreciate most is your candor and lets-get-it-done attitude. You remind me so much of the people I grew up with on East 74 and St Clair Avenue, real and caring and tough and true believers in this Immortal City. Your emails to me about your life, your journey, your family are some of the most beautifully written and heart felt letters I have ever read. I am really happy my wife Nora and daughter Maeve were able to meet you, thanks for your kind words. Count me in on the food drive, the good neighbor volunteer days, and generally anything you need help with. I take my service to everyone seriously and consider it an honor to know you and work for you. We are all better and stronger together and the representation you give to people in the neighborhood is so needed and appreciated by many and by me. Looking forward to our next IHOP meeting Joe C Sent from my BlackBerry® wireless handheld ___________________________________ From: Joe Cimperman Sent: Monday, June 4, 2012 12:52 PM Subject: Re: Joe Cimperman Man of the people 1997 Thank you. I was not happy how you twisted words of all the testimony at BOZA today.  I am not happy with Mr. McNair, and I told him so right in front of Director Wobser. The mere fact 300 support letters from Timbuktu by your surrogates is a clear fact that someone is trying to bully the situation. Fact Prosperity has stopped operations of outdoor speakers based on complaints, you twisted this. Dante's has not complied with any part of its Good Neighbor Agreement, Ms. Justus can testify to this and so will I. You keep bringing up the fact about "Body bags" yes I made that statement because its true all last year young African American males were getting killed outside of eastside nightclubs. The new legislation would have resolved this. Lets remember I can email proof that I requested two years ago that you invite members of the business community to the table, specifically Mr. Leneghan, you refused. Now you make it sound we are unwilling to compromise. Where were the foot-loose people at the public meetings or Planning Commission. These were all public. I seen close to 40 residents from all over the westside and downtown at the these hearings and public meetings. This is all about you, lets remember you met with me and Sammy Catania for breakfast and to me you needed a political win and you were going to toss everyone that worked hard on the legislation over the falls because all the political heat the PD has put on you. I did not budge then and will not now, I will not be bought and sold. I have morals and I do not sell out people I have befriended, I testified Harp was a great place and I seen people sitting here in support of the Harp that I helped close places like Envy and Moda. This got twisted. Your the bully, forcing a good neighbor agreement that was not supported by the block club nor the impacted neighbors was unconscionable. Lets remember your testimony at City Planning Commission : "I do not support speakers of any kind or live entertainment on Patio's" Joe Cimperman April 1st 2011. I believe Director Brown said they audio tape this. I am sure you will be rewarded well by Campaign donations for your award winning actions today. It is my personal opinion that you really harmed impacted residents. I will do whatever it takes to prove with Ms. Kurtock and Ms. Oliver that you basically discriminated against them. You stacked a room full of supporters that did not even live within 500ft. This is typical of how you operate. Commander, I have committed my camera equipment to Ms. Kurtock , I will be assisting her. Be prepared to have to enforce the law thanks to the former man of the people Councilman Joe Cimperman. Joe, I will send this to the world because you will anyway. Maybe one day when you don't toss people under the bus daily and grow up you will understand just what you have set in motion. I also felt it was appalling for one of the TWDC staffer's sitting their for three hours doing nothing to better Tremont. I am glad you control the CDC's because I am not going to be afraid to write the articles myself on how you do business and influence issues. I am speaking in this email a citizen of the City of Cleveland. Henry P. Senyak In a message dated 6/4/2012 10:21:57 A.M.
