The book is filled with stories from “humble entrepreneurs” who share their mistakes and offer tips and practical information about how they resolved them.

Marcia Pledger has been a journalist for 20 years covering public companies as well as stocks and e-commerce, but her passion is entrepreneurs.
The Plain Dealer is a daily newspaper for which she writes monthly columns on business start-ups and women in business and a weekly column “My Biggest Mistake.” She also writes an on-line column on business etiquette.

Ms. Pledger has been a correspondent for Money Magazine for 14 years and speaks to organizations throughout Ohio.
Mrs. Pledger is a graduate of The University of Missouri and has been acknowledged by Associated Press, Society of Professional Journalists, and the National Association of Black Journalists. She lives in University Heights, Ohio with her husband and daughter.
