Unlikely hero in case of missing Cleveland women heads for viral status

WASHINGTON - While the nation watches the story of three women, who went missing as teenagers, being found alive in Ohio, another story is being born

It's the story of a meme. If you'd like the witness a viral Internet hit before everyone else, this story is for you.

Charles Ramsey, who tells ABC 5 in Cleveland he found and helped rescue the women, is becoming an early hit on the Internet.

In an interview on the scene, Ramsey is animated as he recounts helping Amanda Berry, one of the missing, get out of the home. He also shares he surprised that the man living in the home where the girls were found may have been holding them against their will.

Ramsey says he and his neighbor had spent time together - and that normally, there wasn't anything striking about him.

"He's just somebody you look, and then you look away, because he's not doing nothing but the average stuff. You know what I'm saying? There's nothing exciting about him," says Ramsey, before taking a deep breath.

"Well...until today."

Still dismayed, Ramsey tells the reporter of his neighbor, "we eat ribs and what not. Listen to salsa music."
