Be a tutor in The Saturday Tutoring Program’s 22nd year of providing free tutoring for students in grades 1-12 from school districts throughout Greater Cleveland. Orientation/Training Session for tutors: Saturday, January 21, 2012, 10:00 a.m. to noon, at the Church of the Covenant! Volunteer when it fits your schedule; an every-week commitment is not required. Come as an individual or with a group. Sessions are held on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon at the Church of the Covenant (11205 Euclid Avenue) in University Circle, January 28 – March 31, 2012. Materials, training, supervision, and free parking are provided.
Qualifications: Must be at least 17 years old. Need desire and patience to help youngsters succeed, familiarity with subject to be taught, and ability to convey ideas clearly in fluent written and spoken English.
