We live in "Forest City" so Arbor Day should be an important holiday in Cleveland. Here is one idea how you might celebrate ...

In celebration of Arbor Day, Cleveland Botanical Garden is pleased to offer free White Oak and White Spruce native tree saplings to our first 200 visitors on Friday, April 27.

Arbor Day was first celebrated in the 19th Century by Nebraska students, who planted an estimated one million trees.

    * Carry on the spirit of that first Arbor Day by visiting us for a free garden tour highlighting the Garden's outstanding specimen trees and Woodland Garden on Friday, April 27th at 1:00 p.m.
    * Also, every Saturday from now until May 19, kids can drop in to Hershey Children's Garden to learn about the important role trees play in our lives

Did you know that trees help fight global warming by storing carbon dioxide and producing oxygen?

Trees are the pillars of any garden. Celebrate trees with us this Arbor Day, and learn more about what you can do to help trees thrive in Northeast Ohio.
