MOCA partners with Cleveland Public Art and ParkWorks to take you off-site for an evening of art, music and fun. Headlining the event are The Heavyweights, a three-person art troupe based in Montreal and Los Angeles. The Heavyweights collaboratively create 6' x 6' site-specific painting installations live within club settings and before music audiences. Using the accompanying music and environment of The Great ARTdoors as inspiration, the artists will instantly and uniquely blend ideas onto the canvas, sampled from a Rolodex® of sketchbook images, Polaroids®, old photographs, pop iconography and brush techniques. Providing the inspiration for The Heavyweights and the soundtrack for the evening will be performances by several regional and national DJs and musicians.
