04/23/2006 - 14:00 Etc/GMT-4 Spectrum: the Lockwood Thompson Dialogues is a new program created for the Cleveland Public Library by Cleveland Public Art. The topic for the 2006 series is Cultural & Creative Migrations. The April event will bring internationally acclaimed artist Shahzia Sikander together with moderator Kurt Andersen, host and co-creator of Public Radio International’s Studio 360, to discuss topics as diverse as cultural identity and the relationship of technology and globalization to the act of creating art. The dialogue will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2006 at 2 p.m. in the Stokes Auditorium in the Main Branch of the Library, located at East Sixth Street and Superior Avenue. Patrons to this free, non-ticketed program will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis. The library opens at 1 p.m. on Sundays and overflow viewing will be available. We look forward to a lively discussion between Sikander and Andersen on the Library stage. Location
