Here is a sample of a one-of-a-kind hand painted sign. As I travel I am recording these bits of Americana.
Today signs are produced digitally – on plastic sheeting which is stretched across billboards. Or, extremely large signs (like LeBron James on Terminal Tower) can be stitched together from multiple strips of digitally printed screen textile.
The “Q” is closed, another victim of the downer Cleveland economy. RIP
