Submitted by Sudhir Kade on Fri, 02/27/2009 - 19:38.

Strategic direction : it's such an important thing, as Ed Morrison has long driven home.  Strategic doing, to me, involves careful planning and action - and its reassuring to see the core of talented thought leaders that have comprised this collective.

One sign that Clevehoga is frozen - all year long - is the vacant Coast Guard Station.

A spectacular location, a spectacular building.

But no ideas for re-use, and no effort to stabilize the deterioration.

FRIENDLY JUDGE HELPS CEI & SQUIRE-SANDERS

Submitted by Roldo on Wed, 02/25/2009 - 08:22.

U. S. Judge Robert Krupansky knew how to toss a case the way he wanted it to go.

He did it a simple way. The first jury voted against CEI with a single holdout. That was a bad sign for CEI. So Krupansky made a couple of simple changes. He finely tuned things for CEI.

There were two damaging examples of CEI’s legal manipulation that swayed the first jury.

Cleveland at night

Submitted by lmcshane on Wed, 02/25/2009 - 00:02.

A lot of folks will want to further write off downtown Cleveland after the recent violent shootings of two Clinic employees.  The violence can happen anywhere.  It's time that we looked harder at ourselves.

On deconstruction - physically to help our region revitalize - and personally - at the hands of others.

Submitted by Sudhir Kade on Mon, 02/23/2009 - 00:34.

Deconstruction is a wonderful opportunity to create revenue from what would typically be waste material that would be directed to landfill otherwise. The typical cost of demolition of a typical home in an underprivileged community often exceeds $8000. In addition, demolition needs to be accompanied with the use of excessive water - which is another form of waste - to ensure toxins like lead, asbestos, or mercury do not spew into the surrounding air, soil and water. When deconstructing, this toxicity spread and water use is circumvented.

TEHACHAPI TURBINES ON - WHILE CLEVEHOGA "STUDIES"

While Clevehoga is trying to measure the ice on Lake Erie (and the ice thickness which the"Task Force"  is trying to measure is not even the critical or necessary measurement - it is pack ice, not floe ice, which is most apt to push over water based wind turbines)  California and many other states are installing their second or third generations of improved wind turbines.

On issues of race, religion, and rhetoric - how do we get to a better place?

Submitted by Sudhir Kade on Sun, 02/22/2009 - 09:58.

Okay, on to more important matters - one school of thought contends we can resolve prevailing conditions of racism and bias by simply ignoring them and focusing on the positive core and align best strengths - people, institutions, and organizations have to offer our community. When you try to function as a change agent within networks, the goal is to help manage conflict and help others see new solutions to problems together. So coming together and appreciating one another can be done in a slower way or more rapid way.

On the reconstitution of one's original content in Big Media - and being torn on calling anyone out. Just Peace!

Submitted by Sudhir Kade on Sun, 02/22/2009 - 07:57.

A recently-released article in the Boston Herald offers some remarkably similar points to those I made recently on the Cleveland Planning group on Facebook - and have since been deleted - but in the grand scheme of things, this serves the greater good quite well.
