Hello to everyone out in the RealNeo World. I have not gone away - but am taking an important break. I have just finished my spring (2nd) semester at Tri-C. I am not blowing my own horn - but I finished with a 3.68 GPA. Somebody said something about the "Dean's List" and an Honors English Class in the fall. How's that for an "uneducated hillbilly" for all those who treated me as though I fell off a turnip truck. Just so you all know - you can teach an "old" dog new tricks. I have not had so much fun in many moons.

Could this be our fair city's newest concept for urban forestry? Imagine trees growing right out through your windows reaching for the sun.

Ladies and gentlemen

I have done nothing this evening but glued my ear to the phone.  One caller after the other filling me in on the Professor streetscape meeting.

First, how much development money has been promised to TWDC and/or its representatives for going along with the plans to slaughter and execute 21 charming and vivacious bloomers that have been marked for death in the next few days? 

How many more costly boondoggles does TWDC get at the expense of taxpayer and community dollars?

Tremont West Development Corporation is allocated $114,880 from the

Steelyard Commons TIF Fund. Eligible projects include: marketing and

promotion; capital items; neighborhood small and start up businesses;

neighborhood arts projects; streetscape;industrial sites, land acquisition to

support the Towpath Trail.

CHINESE DOG DONATED TO GUY

Guy Templeton's niece recently donated
her dog to Guy. 

Guy's niece stated she could no longer 
feed the dog anymore. "There are no longer
anymore drug dealers, thieves, liers, junkies,
murderers, child molesters left in her neighbor-
hood left for him to eat!"

With TWDC's second largest funder, Neighborhood Progress, Inc., President/CEO topping the agenda for last night's (Aug. 18, 2011) regularly scheduled meeting, there was no quorum.  Out of the fifteen elected Board members, only six showed up for this all important get-to-gather.  Two ex-officios did attend as well.

Frank Giglio helplessly huddled beneath a tree as  rain started to drizzle down on the morning of December 9, 2008.   With unmarked manned police cars stationed curb side on both the North and South bound lanes of West 14th Street,  Frank could do nothing more than shiver in the wet old and watch as his home was ravaged by the long arm of the law.

Today was a good day to move the machines out onto the front porch, give  my granddaughter (who just turned 8) a big bag of scrap material and enjoy watching her learning to piece her first strip (crazy) quilt.

When we packed up around 4:30, she looked over and said, "Grandma, didn't we have a great day."

We're starting a "Summer 2011" scrapbook to include all the different things she's learning to do while school's out.  We started this project with giving her some cake icing and letting her decorate a cake.

would be housed at the TWDC office {2406 Professor Avenue} and administered under the auspices of the TWDC (Board)Safety Committee.

He has even sat in on meetings and out right said it was "illegal" for valets to charge and park on public streets.  Why does ne not call for "monitoring" and an investigation when Tremont residents {including elderly and handicapped} complain about having to drive around for up to three hours before they could park close enough to their house to be able to walk there?

Councilman has long ago forgot whatever he thought he knew about poor people.

A question:  If a member of the mafia pays for your supper to keep your mouth busy so you don't complain about him stealing your television out the back door, does that mean he is not actually a member of the mafia?

  Brevity Reports for January

1/2/11: Felonious Assault on the 2500 block of W.15th Street: Police assist a 26 year-old male who was struck with a metal pipe by a known 57 year-old Broadway Ave. male while he was on his way to a convenience store at 5:45 pm.

1/3/11: Burglary on the 2100 block of W.21st Street: The resident came home at 11:15 am to find the back window on the house broken with evidence that someone entered the home, knocking over a flower pot. Nothing in the house was found to be missing.

1/3/11: Criminal Damaging & Theft at W.17th & Valentine: A male reported finding his parked Ford Ranger Pickup with the passenger window broken and the GPS missing at 3:30 pm.

This photo was taken on Thursday evening in front of Fahrenheit's at 2417 Professor Avenue (Tremont).

Immediately after I snapped a couple of shots, I went directly across the street to a TWDC economic Development Committee meeting wherein B & H Assistant Director Ron O'Leary was in attendance.

I brought this matter to the attention of those present and was told by Sammy Catania that City of Cleveland Superintendant of Public sidewalks John Petkac had been out and deemed the hazardous path safe for all - including citizens confined to wheelchairs.
