Issue 108:

With 1,072 of 1,077 precincts counted

For      214,522
Against  281,190

Realneo was involved in the failure of ISSUE 108,   and that's good.

Stay tuned for the final tally.

Dissolve the Port Authority!

Failure of 108 -Passage of 107

Thank you Jeff for posting here and I am glad to see that taxpayers in Cuyahoga County did not fall for the Port Levy.  Unfortunately, however, the school levy did pass, which gives a green light to the folks at CMSD who follow orders from the Greater Cleveland Partnership.

One of the top administrators at the Cleveland Metropolitan School District is Mayor Jackson's brother, Nick Jackson.  Nick Jackson has a checkered past and has not distinguished himself any where the powers that be happen to place him.  He worked under Mike White at the Water Department.

Here's an article from SCENE magazine that profiles the Mayor's brother:

While Jackson was assistant water commissioner, he was supposed to oversee the department's off-site warehouse, known as Harvard Yard. But under his watch, employees were running their own Turkish bazaar. They raked in cars, World Series tickets, and other kickbacks while allowing vendors to jack up prices. The department ended up spending more than $1.1 million on overpriced materials and supplies.

Two Harvard Yard employees went to prison for the scheme, and a third is still on probation. One of the imprisoned claims in court documents that his superiors were aware of the corruption and created a work environment that encouraged it. The FBI investigation is still open. But so far, Jackson and his downtown superiors have escaped untarnished.

Penned by Lisa Rab, this was when the SCENE actually tried to reveal the truth, instead of running sleazy ads to promote the sex trade here in NEO....Here's a snapshot of the CMSD "leadership" today:

Realneo is institutional memory of Port Authority Issue 108

The Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority has immediately pulled the plug on the loser Levy Issue 108.    Now, all the links from web sites which supported the levy or opposed the levy are dead.

This is how the Port operates - they want us to have no institutional memory - and they erase history as fast as they can.

They don't even have the decency or gumption to leave up their nonesense about "18,000 jobs" supported by importing cheap steel coil from eastern Europe?   Show me the list of jobs.....

List of supporters of Issue 108 - Citizens: vote them all out
