Hello Guy!
You are on the button on reading the comments here on realneo.
So, as Jerleen suggests, how does one know if the criminal report which you post is about the guy you think it is? Photo of the person? DNA? Sweat comparison?
These criminal reports are pretty loaded, so it is probably best if they aren't posted for the wrong dude.
How does one figure that out? I see the "alias Sam", but without a dob, how does one know which of the same last name people has the Sam alias?
Best to you and the Yog!

In response to the name,
In response to the name, Jawhari is a common name among Sam's nationality. As common as Jones, Smith, Miller. If you note with each of these cases, a date of birth was provided and they are all different. In Sam's words, "I am not kin to everyone with that name."
Criminal records are public records and of course anyone has access to them- whether they are the right or wrong records, anyone who needs to know this information can easily check it out for themselves and, knowing that the list of charges is not always the disposition nor does everyone know the migitating circumstances.
What is distasteful is that posting someone's past records is usually a tactic used to harass, intimidate, humiliate and embarass. From my own experience I have had to live with the mess I got myself into for 20 years and I have had to suffer the consequences and when my personal information was posted out there, it did sting, and for a moment or two it hurt, but I refused to allow that to handle me. The crux of the situation is that regardless of how I ended up in the mess, or what the circumstances were I have to take responsibility for my actions and I cannot blame anyone else for my choices, however, at the same time I would just about do anything to go back those 20 years and undo it if I could. I have never tried to hide it, (how can you hide something that's public records) I don't lie about it and I do everything I can to disuade anyone else from stepping across that line - because once you do, you cannot step back.
In this case, those names were not Sam's family and could have caused great harm to someone who did not deserve it. In supporting Sam, we have collected pages of signatures and not one single person has had a bad word or remark about him.
I would only suggest that for anyone who contemplates throwing somebody's criminal records out there to first take into consideration the impact of the slapping you think you're giving. You're not disclosing anything that the entire population cannot find on their own and is it worth it for that few minutes of "bravado." Sometimes that "in your face" just might turn out to be in your face.
There's an old old song that says:
"A tongue can accuse and carry bad news, words of distrust it will sew, but unless you have made no mistakes in your life, be careful of stones that you throw."
now THAT's a slippery slope!
you should re-consider the idea of records being used for personal assault, Guy.
bad taste
bad reasoning
bad karma
Just another response to
Just another response to Guy's statement that, "what we feared most was disclosure." Guy, these are public records and fearing disclosure means not to be found out. In todays world of communications, there is no way anyone can not be found out. But when someone under an assumed name posts someone's records, that is the person in fear of being found out. Not me, I know my shit is going to be found out - any body that ask me - I tell them.
Guy did use his own name but the results were the same.
In this instance, someone with the same name was associated with some of these records and clearly the different dates of birth indicate that Sam could not have been all of these individuals.
But let's just say that he had, what purpose could it serve to post this information - if not to hurt or embarass somebody and for what?
When I got myself into a fix all those years ago, my son was just a little boy and I did not want to tell him about it until he was older - I kept the entire thing from him - but someone out of spite threatened to tell him so I was forced to sit down and tell my little boy that I had jeopardized not only my life but his as well - that was a worse punishent than if I had gone to jail - I would rather have gone to jail, but I'm glad that I was fortunate enough to get past that without damaging my relationship with my son and by the grace of God so far I have been able to see him all grown up with a family of his own and staying on the right side of the line. With the baggage my family carries, he could have so easily stepped over. I didn't beat him or nail him to the wall, I just talked to him and let him know how much he would lose, trust, respect and most of all his own self respect and it so was not worth it.
