The End of the World (as we know it) 12/21/12: The Honor Guard RemainsSubmitted by ANGELnWard14 on Fri, 12/21/2012 - 03:21.
Plan your life, plan your funeral, plan your escape, plan your methods of survival, plan plan plan....maybe it'll all come in handy. Then again, maybe it won't. One thing's for sure; there are no guarantees in this world. There's always going to be good vs evil. That's the ultimate inescapable reality of this life we all live.....Sad, but true. Ultimately, it's all a matter of opinion...which usually changes with the wind these days..... Death, tragedy, drama, chaos, and an evolution of information overload have resulted in a daily life that is often overloaded with intense amounts of distractions and interruptions. In a world full of challenges to be proactive, involved, and attentive; we are challenged far beyond measure to excel and accomplish more than most of us ever imagined as youth. I believe that at this point; recognizing how our everchanging world has spiralled into a rollercoaster ride of blessings and mayhem---is a beginning to the end of the world as we know it because it gives us the perspective that the only thing we have any power over at the end of today.....is the choice within to react DIFFERENTLY to things that continue to impede progress and positive results in our lives. So, as I watched my father hug this casket, saying prayers over it to his friend through thick and thin; and say goodbye to his comrade in arms; I felt helpless, powerless, and all I could do was stand by him through it all. It's our CHOICE IN LIFE to shut all these daily life events out or react to them. The reality has set in that we are in such a state of unparralleled information overload with a huge world that has grown intensely small..........Change is in process.............Change....Change...New actions will yield different results. The unfamiliar territory of truth and justice is on the verge of becoming inescapable.....as is the theory of accountability which was violated for so long in this world of ours....
So, as we all open our eyes to the essence of life in unchartered territories....as the corrupt finally eat the truth and are forced to be held accountable.........as the toxic polluters are dug up and disposed of and the contamination is cleaned up....as our lives are spent eradicating threats, exposing more indictable creeps, exhausting our energies on all of life's challenges....the fact remains that our one life is CONSUMED.........
Our soldiers remain globally mobilized; upholding and defending and fighting for democracy. Meanwhile; our citizens are entrenched in homeland defensive posturing against uncivilized behaviors at home. Our veterans continue to work tirelessly to have faith in the values, traits, and skills that bonded them as youth; but it is challenged daily.
What does it all matter? Well, that is all up to your choices....your power to react effectively. Your measure of value for it all. Your decision to give or take. Your decision to live or die. Your attitude is what will make or break you....and if you choose to leave that life behind which was killing you along the way....and begin anew...then that is your choice as well.... So, when today is over......will that world end? Well, that is simply up to you. I have faith you'll take the chan ce to start tomorrow with a new attitude that is new, different, and no longer accepts less than the best from yourself! May God Bless! I salute all of the people who take the risk of making a promise and take action for positive change in the next life ahead of themselves....Hey-there's only 168 Hours in a week....how will you spend it in the new world beginning tomorrow....?????
