I know that there is a solution to many of our energy problems and I am glad you posted this Diana--GLASS.

A young boy in my neighborhood has a fascination with rocks, magnifying glass and construction.  I encountered him on the bus one day (when he was late for school) and he theorized that we should be able to magnify the sun for solar collection, even on less sunny days.  He reminded me that silicon is the next most abundant element on the planet after oxygen. 

Of course, all boys and girls should think about these things--solving problems.  This particular young man might figure out ways to solve our problems.  I hope so.  He can entertain himself for hours with a cardboard box :)
