Rally for Bikes and Pedestrian Pathway on New Innerbelt Bridge
A rally in support of building a space for pedestrians and bikes on the New Innerbelt Bridge will be held on Sunday, December 6th, 2pm at Lincoln Park. Anyone interested in safe, easy, and scenic car-free access between Downtown and Tremont is invited to attend: the event is free, and refreshments and entertainment will be provided. Any cyclist are urged to ride their bikes in this event; free mechanical safety checks will be provided by the Ohio City Bicycle Co-op. Helmets are strongly suggested, and they will have some available to borrow or purchase. |
This event is being promoted by the Green City Blue Lake Institute, ClevelandBikes, the Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative, and the Ohio City Bicycle Co-op. Help ensure that this huge investment -- ODOT's largest ever - is carefully planned, as it will affect the places we live, work and play for the rest of our lives. Any donations to the event organizers will be used to help pay for professional services to document ODOT miscalculations of the feasibility and cost to safely accommodate pedestrians and cyclists in this project. For more information, please see GCBL.org.
