REALNEO Song of the Day: Tomorrow Never Knows, by John Lennon, RIPSubmitted by Norm Roulet on Thu, 12/10/2009 - 19:01.
As Eternity remembers, John Lennon passed away 29 years and a few days ago. I remember exactly where I was when the news hit me he died... I was walking down Broadway, in New Orleans, on the way to class and I saw a sheet hanging across a shotgun porch with RIP John Lennon painted in large letters - a pre-Internet shout-out of outrage, remembrance and sorrow. That was a moment when I realized, Tomorrow Never Knows... best ever, from the Beatles... Turn off your mind, relax and float down stream...

What are our options?
Norm,
It's really disturbing...this lates news about Blackwater. And with so many of the Bush-era secrets still just now reaching the surface, having been hidden and suppressed for so long, the horror of the "Bush Doctrine" continues to bubble up like a never-ending flow of toxic, nuclear lava.
And of course with Obama willingly embracing so many of Bush's police state policies, is it even reasonable to expect this cycle of dysfunction to end during his term(s) as President?
What are our options?
Too, compared to 30 years ago, how do we define America today? Is it really honest to continue to try and posture ourselves as a nation any better than other less honorable government like the ones in China, Russia, England and Israel, for instance?
America has definitely changed, but has it been for the better? That indeed is a challenging--difficult--question to answer.
Any ideas?
