On the Road at Night

 Driving at night on the interstates at 65 MPH is really pretty crazy.    Your vision is about a 1000xs less able to collect life saving data than in the daylight. 

Is that a deer looking to go for a meal in the median?  Just a shadow in the asphalt or a 42 lb steel reinforced radial truck tire chunck?  

Whatever...

Cruise control doesn't get scared and even falter a 1/2 MPH.  

But why are the upper yellow and white lights spotted, and the lower lights all solid streaks?  This image was taken through the front windshield.

tailgating that truck, are you? this is what the night streetscape looks like when I take my glasses off at night (as a passenger). It is fun.
