Dear Your Honor,

For the last couple of generations, the leadership of our community at large has been infiltrated by corruption, self interested individuals, and unscrupulous leaders of organizations who have violated the public at large. 

Sammy Catania is but the face of hundreds of local organizational "powers that be" and the way that they have been treating our most vulnerable citizens for all too long. The "attitude" that he fundamentally shared with the public at large is the attitude that we have all been victimized with without rights to recourse due to both discriminatory and retaliatory practices after any incidents of this nature for quite some time.

Sammy Catania (and his regime of supporters) need to be sent a message of INTOLERANCE for gentrication. Their countless violations of the federal fair housing laws including "STEERING" out the low income, elderly, disabled and less than desirables who speak the truth about corruption in their local communities have resulted in victimization via the local Community Development Corporations across our city.

Millions of dollars annually are wasted on community development staff that are masking their actions under the auspices of being a not for profit agency. Ultimately, with their target development goals, they begin code enforcement that pushes out lifelong families who cannot afford the legal costs and criminal charges of housing violations. Moreover, they snuggle up alongside developers in unethical manners that result in people being treated unfairly in the "pay to play" circles created by folks like "Sammy Catania".

The cycle had been perfected into a multi million dollar scheme locally until uncountable citizens united to speak out against these abusive practices where we have been repetively stepped on by their all powerful regime.

Sammy Catania spoke eloquently in his video as though he had all the "PROTECTION" in the world against Mr. Guy Templeton Black and Yogi. His "SMUG", "EVIL" and "INTIMIDATING" actions are only the icing on the cake to what we, the low income families, see all too often behind the scenes from these public servants. Sammy Catania's attitude and that of his supporters are both a disgrace and dishonor to all of our citizens.

We, the citizens of Cleveland, Ohio deserve to have our rights protected by you, the JUDGE in this case. We ask that you give Sammy Catania the maximum allowable jail time WITHOUT ANY CONSIDERATION for his public service. His supporters are a reflection of his video when you get behind the scenes; so please do not be swayed by their letters that attempt to tell you what a wonderful person he is. There is simply NO EXCUSE for his actions.

Furthermore, we ask that you DO NOT ALLOW HIM TO WORK FOR ANY organization that represents the social or community interests of our citizens ever again. It is ultimately an understatement to believe that he will not permeate his corruption upon another organization.

Sammy Catania has failed our community. He has violated our citizens and his connections to corruption are so obvious that they are slapping you in the face in letters of support. Perhaps you should submit all of those letters to the FBI, it'd help them finish their investigations in that neighborhood.

It is my belief, that Sammy Catania and his regime should be tried under the FEDERAL RICO LAWS and that Mr. Guy Templeton Black and Yogi (and all the citizens in the communities that Sammy Catania has worked) should be compensated civilly for such criminal acts upon them.

I, personally, ask that YOUR HONOR sentence Mr. Sammy Catania to all MAXIMUM SENTENCE GUIDELINES AVAILABLE under the law within the conviction in front of you.  It is insulting enough that the charges were reduced. However, if you allow him to leave your courtroom without jail time; it would be far beyond a social injustice at this stage.
