The Cleveland Public Library (CPL) Collinwood Branch will be holding a two part lecture series focusing on small business ownership. The purpose of the Small Business Lecture Series is to introduce the public to small business resources.

The Series will draw attention to three sources of information that are freely available to city residents: CPL reference and circulating materials, SCORE services, and the experiential knowledge of local business owners. SCORE Cleveland is part of SCORE "Counselors to America's Small Business," a national nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth, and success of the nation's small businesses.

The two-part series will take place on Saturday March 21 & 28 from 1-2.30 PM. The first segment on March 21st will highlight the experiences of three panelists with non-profit and for-profit experience. The second segment on March 28th with focus on the business consultation services of the Cleveland Chapter of SCORE.

These programs are intended to be informal with lively discussions between the attendees and speakers. Playing tag

Just this past week, I met a gentleman with the excitement of a little kid, as he discussed his business plan for taking an abandoned warehouse and converting it to a concept park for laser tag.

I wish I knew about this event.  I referred hiim to SCORE. While I hate guns and video games, boys will be boys, and at least with this man's concept the kids get some real exercise.
