United States National Radio Quiet ZoneSubmitted by Jeff Buster on Tue, 09/13/2011 - 18:59.
Human communication is caught in either the aural (doesn't go that far), the radio (goes a long, long way), the visual (smoke signals, goes for light years), and perhaps other modes not yet developed. Cell phone, wi-fi, short wave, TV, and other frequencies in the electromagnetic are banned in the National radio free zone because the world's largest movable structure (which is a radio telescope) is located in the zone. The news has recently carried reports of individuals who suffer from Electro Magnetic Allergy - not on the medical "proven" lists, but I believe we must be able to sense magnetic fields and science just hasn't caught up yet. This site isn't so far away from Ohio!
