Sponsored by the Department of Art History and Art Case Western Reserve University.
Harvey Buchanan is a Case Western Reserve University Dean of Arts and Sciences Emeritus. He was one of the founders of the Case Western Reserve University/Cleveland Museum of Art joint program in Art History. This annual lecture honors his contributions to education and the arts in Cleveland -- he is still actively invovled in the arts though well into his 80s! The lecture traditionally take place near his Birthday (only a day off this year). The subject of the Buchanan lecture varies from year to year covering everything from ancient art to contemporary, but all the lectures share one thing in common -- world class scholars sharing their most fascinating research.
Enjoy it!
If I were in town, I would definitely contemplate coming down. Work has been so hectic lately, feels like I'm all over the place..
