Description of exhibit: 1300 Gallery is proud to present a collection
of mixed media pieces from six female artists all hailing from the
Cleveland area.

Nicole
Edwards

Nicole Edwards, an artist who works primarily with
mixed media and collage, spent her childhood in Chesterland, Ohio and
later moved to New York City where she graduated from NYU. Nicole now
lives and works in Cleveland
Heights.

Loraine Rutkowski
Farmer

A life-long resident of Cleveland and mother of two, Loraine
Rutkowski Farmer is not only an artist, but also a graduate of
Cleveland State University where she earned a BA in Psychology and
Painting as well as a Master’s degree
Education.

Renee
Froerer

A graduate of Utah State University with a BFA
in Graphic Design, Northeast Ohio native Renee Froerer is currently
creating biographical, mixed media artwork that use birds as a focal
point.

Sara
Hoover

A graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art
with a BFA in graphic design, Cleveland native Sara Hoover is
currently employed. Sara uses the everyday object as the inspiration
of her semi-autobiographical, digital artwork and has recently
participated in several local art
events.

Sophie
Nemethy

Sophie Nemethy grew up in the Cleveland area and is
currently studying advertising and painting at Kent State University.
Her graphic style and use of intense color are a combination of her
interests both in art and in the
media.

Claire
Sullivan

A native Clevelander, Claire Sullivan received
her BFA in 1992 from the Cleveland Institute of Art where her primary
focus was on painting and printmaking. Having lived in both San
Francisco and New York City, Sullivan currently resides in Cleveland
where she draws inspiration for her pieces from Asian art.
