Very ANGRY Old Brooklyn Turnout
Residents at last night's community meeting in Old Brooklyn (150 signed in- more were in the room) - were fighting mad because the City of Cleveland has decided to IGNORE the many previous community planning efforts, including a Transportation for Liveable Communities plan, that all encouraged NARROWING - not widening Pearl Rd.
I will post some of the slides - though the community development corporation http://www.oldbrooklyn.com has promised to upload the powerpoint soon. On a personal note, I asked where the streetscape designs were for the Brooklyn Centre component of the plan - the CRITICAL Metrohealth MILE between the main campus north and Deaconess campus south - CRICKETS - the poor dude Martin Reese, who the City of Cleveland put out to front the program - HAD NO IDEA what I was talking about....
And, this is why we fail....
