TechnologyCLIPPER TURBINES GO BACK TOGETHER AT STEELWINDS IN LACKAWANNASubmitted by Jeff Buster on Mon, 03/31/2008 - 17:57.
Clipper's Steelwinds project in Lackawanna, New York is passing through a dark and uncertain repair/redesign. This photo taken on March 28, 2008 shows 6 of the 8 turbine towers without their blades. Earlier in the week only the tower on the right hand (north) had blades, so it appears that the lattice boom crane in the center of the photo is installing, not removing, the turbine hub and blades - presumably after the repair of the gear box. Typical for the Dirty Dealer, they make a joke out of accounting for the public’s money on the March 11, 2008 editorial page.

BALLOT REFLECTIONS: CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OHIO - PARTY MACHINE OR REAL CHOICE?Submitted by Jeff Buster on Sat, 03/01/2008 - 12:05.
I voted absentee – to give me time with my ballot to consider each candidate – and I found that many candidates have no internet record whatsoever. That’s a bad sign for NEO.
Bloggers for Obama?Submitted by Norm Roulet on Fri, 02/29/2008 - 15:54.
During the very cool Meet the Bloggers spin segment I saw televised after the Obama/Clinton Cleveland debate, one of the bloggers said the response in the blogsphere was split on who won - 50% Obama and 50% McCain. Today, a different window into NEOs cyberspace opened for Obama (and McCain), with endorsements on CoolCleveland. If you visit REALNEO often, you know where I stand... I am one REALNEO member strongly supporting Obama. But I am only one small voice in REALNEO, and I'm curious how other "bloggers" and cybercats in NEO stand on the primary... no matter what, this is an historic election, so why not speak up with your vote, voice and support for whomever you like, while you can really make a difference. So, please, use this posting to add a comment of support for your candidate. If you have a blog or place in cyberspace where you voice your feelings about this, feel free to link that in. Note, to leave a comment you must be a REALNEO member... use the create account link to request an account and we will confirm that for you as quickly as possible.
50 YEARS OF AMP COAL - PHONY PUBLIC "HEARINGS" SUPPORT IGNORANT ORDINANCES IN CLEVELAND COUNCILSubmitted by Jeff Buster on Wed, 02/27/2008 - 17:42.

AMP OHIO NEGOTIATES IN BAD FAITH WITH CLEVELANDSubmitted by Jeff Buster on Sat, 02/23/2008 - 16:24.
Committing to American Municipal Power's proposed Meigs County pulverized coal generator for 50 years is a death trap for the City of Cleveland - and AMP knows it. Attending the Cleveland City Council subcommittee on CPP all day yesterday brought things to my mind that wouldn’t have aligned in my head if I hadn’t sat and listened to the back and forth for hours. AMP OHIO is negotiating with Cleveland in BAD FAITH.

BUFFALO, NY SAVES STRUCTURAL SKELETON OF BUILDING SIMILAR TO BREUER'S CLEVELAND AMERITRUST TOWERSubmitted by Jeff Buster on Mon, 01/21/2008 - 19:26.
The 15 story Dulski Federal Building in Buffalo, New York is undergoing a down to the steel skeleton re-hab. This building was constructed in the early 1970’s, and besides the time of its construction, shares other similarities with the Breuer designed Ameritrust Tower built in 1971 in Cleveland, Ohio.
Green Fuel Technology: Potential for a 100 MPG Standard Hits the Media !Submitted by Sudhir Kade on Mon, 01/21/2008 - 10:37.
Technology is such an important wildcard in the social consciousness picture, whether we speak of the most innovative approaches to community development using WI-FI and FOSS in tandem or we celebrate some of the latest advances in product development. While bumbling bureaucratic banter restricts radical progress at the nexus of environment and technology (current Ohio legislation insiduously inculcates clean coal and nuclear power measures as green and renewable technologies and considers a 35 MPG mandated standard by 2020 significant) some very innovative R&D experts have launched their media campaign to expedite progress by demonstrating how very close we are to a 100 MPG standard. I was heartened by a full page ad which recently manifested via a variety of media outlets - I happened to catch the one in this week's issue of US News and World Report.
