I wish I had been able to make that event!  What a great way to celebrate life!

I have been to NOLA, I have seen the energy that this kind of music can generate.  Clevelanders need more of this.  We are slowly waking from the cold of winter and the youthful energy of spring is being missed by so many people (myself included). 

I will be sure to make time in the future to take a time and enjoy what this city offers.  Something I am finding out more and more everyday is that Cleveland has more to offer than many know.

Following the Rebirth Birth Brass Band parading around public square last night was my first experience with the Tri-C Jazz Fest. I have always wanted to go to the Tri-C Jazz Fest, but every year somehow it seems that I always miss it. I'm so glad I made the trip downtown to see Rebith last night. The energy was awesome! I don't think I have ever had so much fun at Public Square! It was nice to see such a diverse group of people dancing, clapping, wearing masks and beads, just having a great time, in otherwise empty downtown. Volunteers for the Tri-C Jazz Fest handed out beads and Jazz Fest schedules. I loved their T-shirts that are based on a jazz theme watercolor by Viktor Schrekengost.

One of the great things about the Second Line (and all related activities last night at the House of Blues) was FREE. We need all the free entertainment we can get around here, and I can't wait for Ingenuity for a nice burst of just what Rebirth brought downtown - joy.
