I recently took a day to visit with my friend Gloria Ferris. We spent a sunny Saturday afternoon in Tremont, first sitting outside at a coffee shop and then driving around in the neighborhood. (Gloria is recovering from a heart mishap and so walking that far was not advisable.)

theres something missing in tremont - and other places the gulls would fly to and from - the cuyahoga river - tremont - downtown cleveland - to other places of cleveland - has anyone seen any gulls - i cryed when i read lauras post of the gulls murdered - no gulls since in tremont - an empty feeling - my friends - our friends that i-we would say hi to as they flew over saying hi to us - our dear sisters-brothers in another body - warning me-us of storms earthquakes other inclimate weather - warning me-us of preditor humans - cicles of violence - in lincoln park, tremont the gulls wo

Autos have, and are, destroying Cleveland. This pedestrian bridge used to join neighborhoods over active rail road tracks.  The bridge is still passable, but the tracks lack activity, so why hike up the stairs?

And the neighborhood now?

NYPD rookie makes arrest moments after graduation

Everything you see has economic connections. 

Look at your husband, he has economic connections, right?  Just kidding.

But when I watched the St Mary's II cement barge, at 21 feet of draft, come into Cleveland last week to blow off at the Essroc facility (north portion of the dock also leased by Kenmore Construction), I thought, $ WOW.

This is the Air Quality monitoring station on Broadway, just South of the Ball Field.

All the air intake instruments which were on the roof of the building have been recently removed.  I suspect the station is non-operational.

Wouldn't it be funny if, during the entire period when Mittal has been idled, this station had no data?

Funny?

Governor Disappointment should get off his ass and start working for the people who put him in the State House.

Max Eternity - Has America prematurely come to the conclusion that because we now have a biracial President, anti-Black bias has been overcome--banished from this nation?  Some may like to think so, and to a limited extent, at least symbolically, that might be true. However there are many indicators that say otherwise, suggesting that a more sanitized version of apartheid has now replaced our defunct Jim Crow laws.
