What would you write on I-Open's tombstone?

Submitted by Betsey Merkel on Mon, 06/01/2009 - 11:54.

Would you be so kind as to take a short bit of time to help us with a research project.

The task is simple, and only requires that you answer honestly, from the heart.   There are no right or wrong answers, only the opportunity for some useful insight that might help us better serve our communities going forward.

The question is this:  Imagine  you opened the paper this morning and read in the obituaries that I-Open had died.   It is no more.

NEO Knows What It Means To Be One Of The World's Great Digital Cities!

Submitted by Norm Roulet on Mon, 06/01/2009 - 00:46.

Jeptha Wade Memorial at Lakeview Cemetery, which he helped organize, in 1869

Few Clevelanders realize Cleveland has been one of the world's greatest digital cities since the mid-1800s, but most Clevelanders enjoy the benefits, including much about University Circle, Case Western Reserve University, the Cleveland Museum of Art and so much else core to our identity and value, all thanks to Jeptha Wade and digital telecommunications. So, being one of the world's greatest digital cities in the 21st Century, and transforming our community through that, is as simple as empowering more people to go Wading.

Confessions of a Covert Agent

Psychological Operations is my specialty. PsyOps.

Everything I've done has been highly classified, all black programs
and black operations. Some people I know thought I worked for the CIA,
but it's much more complicated than that. I've worked with people in
the CIA, DIA, NSC, NSA, SAIC, Army Intel and many more lesser known
agencies within the intelligence apparatus.

Before focusing on PsyOps I started out running covert combat
missions, special operations. I was good at what I did and rose

Public Relations is spam... the Cleveland Plain Dealer is the fan

Submitted by Norm Roulet on Sat, 05/30/2009 - 10:51.

It is well documented, but little referenced and intentionally overlooked by modern newspaper editors and their PR-stitutes... the origin of the use of the word spam, beyond for Hormel Foods Corporation's "spiced meat" (now officially known as "SPAM luncheon meat") is documented as: "Correspondant Bob White claims the modern use of the term predates Monty Python by at least ten years. He cites an editor for the Dallas Times Herald describing Public Relations as "throwing a can of spam into an electric fan just to see if any of it would stick to the unwary passersby."

Submitted by Quest-News-Serv... on Sat, 05/30/2009 - 04:52.

Our entire Solar System (our Sun and planets) revolve around a central Sun Alcyone (in the Consellation of Pleiades), which in turn revolves around the GC, the centre of the Milky Way.  Thus the GC is our heart, our connection to the greater Cosmos from which we have all been birthed.
