2.the peddlers license fee at city halls can be wavied in every city, cost $50.00 to $200.00, when one fills out an affidavit form as a memeber of a non-profit or religious enity, the form is located at the city's license dept., this avoids arrest by police and one can go door to door or sale any thing legal downtown, one can earn hundreds of dollars a week, and not play victim to lose of job, welfare or disabliity, etc., which is the the free enterprise systems foundation.

We went out to Oberlin yesterday to meet Brad Masi and talk about how we can work together.  I also got to meet some old Obie friends (I'm from the class of '80.)

HUD is unloading vacant homes in the City of Cleveland.  Call your council representative and demand some accounting for the fate of these homes. 

Community Development Corporations (CDCs) are picking up these HUD homes for $100.00 ($1.00?).  The CDCs are evaluating these properties for restoration and demolition.  Most will be demolished quickly and with little recourse.  Demolitions will take place using Community Development Block Grant funds (your money).  Ask who is getting these demolition contracts?

The Social Sciences Dept. of the Cleveland Public Library is facilitating a non-fiction book club.  Our next discussion will be held on May 14, 2009 at 12:00 PM.  We will discuss the book entitled, "The Top 20 Moments in Cleveland Sports: Tremendous Tales of Heroes & Heartbreaks," by Bob Dyer.  All book club members may register and pick up their books in the Social Sciences Dept.   All questions may be directed to the Social Sciences Dept.
