Good Work Guy.
The police were on top of things on Saturday night June 5th as well. Car 213 wrote tickets to illegal parkers on Literary and a Cadillac that was blocking Mr. Mikota's drive way was towed.
I watched out my kitchen window on Saturday and between approx. 10:00 and 11:00 PM, I witnessed two really close misses as the valets came speeding out of the St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Church lot and nearly T-Boned cars driving West Bound on College Avenue.
One of the College Avenue residents who has undergone open-heart surgery, is preparing to have a hip replacement and received kidney dialysis three times a week came home Saturday night to find all the parking spaces filled. She drove around the neighborhood about three times and finally took the chance and parked her car in a no-parking zone on the Corner of West 7th and College.
I kept watch in case the police stopped to give her a ticket and my sister manned the sidewalk for about an hour until someone moved and then she actually stood in the empty space until the lady could make it out to re-park her vehicle. That's a lot of unnecessary burden put on a disabled individual.
My sister had a conversation with one of the parkers on College and he stated that he was in the neighborhood to pick up his sons who were inebriated. Said they would be leaving their cars parked on College over night. At least this group had the good sense not to drive while drunk.
