How will demographics change the course of NEO? I am especially concerned about the categorizations the ten-year census will use to determine funding allocations. Should ethnicity matter? Ohio stands to lose a House seat.

Ohio stands to lose a House seat.
Might be two:
Census estimates released Wednesday show Ohio’s population gained slightly over the last decade, but only by 1.7 percent, while the nation as a whole grew nine percent. If the 2010 census numbers are close to those estimates, Ohio will likely lose two congressional seats, and be the only state to lose that many.

How I plan to answer the CENSUS- I am OTHER
There are 10 "simple" questions on the Census--Are answers optional?
I plan to skip the gender question #6, because it doesn't offer "other," and skip #8 on Spanish ancestry, and I will vote "other" on #9.
Here's a book recommendation--Passing Strange.
Come to think of it--"strange" should be an option, too!
