Happy Father's Day to all the Mommy's who make up for absent dad
It's amazing how much attention was paid to this simple post from a few days ago...almost "overlooked" by the average readers....
On Father's Day, it's really difficult to react to the emotions of a child who has lost their dad. It's sometimes a challenge to keep your spirit when that child renumerates their fond memories about their daddy. And it's even more intriguing to have that child give their surviving mommy...a father's day gift... In memory of the father's who are not here to receive direct accolades; may we all take a moment to remember them. As always, their spirit remains with us.
Thanks, Guy for sharing.

Angel14 keep those keen observations coming....
Life throws lots of curves.
You have a keen knack of seeing them, and an even keener knack of writing about them.
So here's to a Happy Mother's Father's day to you and your daugher. Cheers!
Best,
Jeff b
Thank you, Jeff...
Thanks, Jeff.... I appreciate your kind words.
Today, I had to remind my child how very lucky she was for the first 7 years of her life...Despite all the drama during those years; her daddy loved her very much and despite "our" issues; I cannot deny how much he loved her.... Today; she was caught up with the concept that he's dead and the tears rolled down her face...
I tried to remind her that even though he's not here-she was very blessed to have had her daddy on the sidelines cheering her along to read, write, draw, dance, ride bicycles, have lemonade stands, sell used cars, go to work with, and to take her to uncountable parks in that short time. Her daddy may not be here today; but he will always be a part of her spirit, her love of nature, and her amazing personality...
I pray that she forever finds the good that he shared in her world as something to thrive from. May she turn those apples into apple pies and always know these good things.
As for mommy's like me...well....when it is too late...they all figure the rest out....Smiles.
