Support locally-owned Cleveland Heights businesses by participating in America Unchained, a nationwide campaign on November 20th when shoppers are asked to do their shopping at locally-owned independent merchants and restaurants.

America Unchained is a great initiative - support local retailers and businesses by buying NEO. Feel free to post ideas for how people in this region can help the local economy through their holiday shopping - like shopping at locally owned retailers and buying art from local creators!

Nov. 20 & 21 MOCA's Museum Store is hosting over 30 regional and national artists and designers exhibiting their creations for a special 2-day "shop 'til you drop" event. 11 AM to 6 PM Saturday and Sunday. See http://mocacleveland.org

Here's a good page on ideas for stimulating local economic development. The Cleveland Plain Dealer recently carried an article on how Lakewood is considering a proposal for Lakewood Dollars. This idea takes off on the Ithaca Dollars project. (You can learn more about Ithaca Dollars at the above link.)
