Bobby Sanabria's Multiverse
"...What set the worlds in motion is the interplay of differences, their attractions and repulsions. Life is plurality, death is uniformity. By suppressing differences and peculiarities, by eliminating different civilizations and cultures, progress weakens life and favors death. The ideal of a single civilization, for everyone, implicit in the cult of progress and technique, impoverishes and mutilates us. Every view of the world that becomes extinct, every culture that disappears, diminishes a possibility of life."
Octavio Paz, 1970
Bobby Sanabria performed this past Sunday at the Cleveland Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He spoke with eloquence on the heritage we all share in America. Take time out to listen to some great music. Multiverse is his tribute to America.
Bobby Sanabria and Frank Lopez both played with the legendary Roberto Ocasio band.
Cuban Tres and Cuatro Master Frank Lopez opened the show at the Rock Hall with some of our great local musicians including Ignacio Miranda and Hector Torres (forgive me for not having the names of the other great musicians-working on it):

Sunday is a great day to visit the Rock Hall-people watching and music. Can't beat that combination.
