Update--I was misspelling your name with one "n"--sorry, still it was not easy to find. Good work as always. And, I personally think the Disney idea is brilliant!
From this morning...Okay--I spent ten minutes trying to bring up the electronic version of your interview today in the Sunday Plain Dealer. I can't find it. Laura Johnson doesn't bother to add your name to the tag lists in her posts. I will go back to try and find it later Diana aka AngelnWard14, but if you beat me to it--I am not surprised.
Folks, Dianna Hill is one hard-working mom--Cuyahoga County needs her more than you know.

I could not find it online either. I went out and read the PD today to see how they compiled the article.
I will follow up when it is online to several key points...and also I will post blogs here in response to anyone's questions.
As a "Different Breed of Candidate"....I will work tirelessly to put families first by promoting ethical leadership that protects the interests of our people, inspires the best in everyone and unites our diverse population under equal opportunity and empowerment!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and considerations for me, Laura!
BTW: It's okay that they didn't link my story today....It is giving me a little time to spend QT with my beautiful daughter before I have to dive back into more stuff later this evening & then a week full of campaign stops!
I will blatantly say this..... My original quote about being an "ignorant hillbilly" has 2 parts....
1) I am an "ignorant hillbilly" in that I don't understand and am not a part of corruption and I will not condone it if elected. I am proud of that and the rest that sneer down their nose at the idea of promoting the best from our civil servants through transparent accountability can take it or leave it. There is a huge population of corrupt partakers and their associates who wouldn't want that to happen...because it might cost them their jobs in a variety of positions around our county. That is why I said I could even die like JFK or MLK for stepping up and speaking the truth...But I am a soldier, here to uphold democracy and defend our people's rights to equality and transparent accountability. I'd rather stand for something than to fall for anything. Someone has to have the courage to finally stand up and say, "enough is enough" on behalf of the people regarding the social injustices that have been sustained through corruption over the last several generations. Our people deserve to have a leader who restores their faith and trust in our local government operations! I look forward to the challenge!
2) I have also said, "IF A CONVICTED CHILD IMPORTUNIST CAN RUN (FOR AN ELECTED POSITION), THEN SO CAN AN IGNORANT HILLBILLY!" As there are several convicts on the ballot...It might inspire the people to take more interest in learning about the various candidates so that they can make informed decisions about their future leaders before voting.
3) "I love "ignorant hillbillies!" I respect their invaluable resources of humanity, respect, and their resourcefulness of surviving through the ages of time. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to be a decent human being or to do what is right in life....and I have derived great amounts of education, training, and wisdom from agile, charismatic, and highly respectable "ignorant hillbillies" in my lifetime.
I am absolutely proud to come from Appalachian roots without question! It's time for the gentrified to learn the knowledge, skills, and abilities which "ignorant hillbillies" proliferate regularly including expertise in recycling, aptitude in acceptance of others without denegration, and appreciation for all human beings regardless of their diversity.
In other words.... I want our folks with the best of intentions to stop being stepped on by politics as usual... I want to inspire them to have a voice and to stand up for what is right and to go against the corrupt for the best interests of our people!
I love all of our richly diverse families in Cuyahoga County. I speak multiple languages including Spanish and a little Arabic and French. I have been around the world and country with the military and I have the ability to respect & appreciate all cultures, promote unification, and to ethically uphold democracy.
I will speak more on the Economic Development considerations of inviting Global and Local Business entities to do business in Cuyahoga County....But, first, we have to reform the attitude of the public servants and residents who have been disillusioned by corrupt practices in our county over generations! Upon providing leadership that inspires, empowers, and promotes ethical practices-we will be a destination for many businesses that will create jobs and improve the quality of life for all Cuyahoga County Citizens!

BTW: Disney World is already in Cuyahoga County... it's has an independently operated store locally. (Don't forget to shop there to help keep them here!)
The Disney World concept was to inspire, invite, and promote business innovation & investment by every realm into Cuyahoga County, Ohio. How could a Disney World vision detract from our community? Perhaps it would create commerce, jobs, and spur tourism if done on a grand scale...particularly in consideration of other local assets like the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, the list of museums locally, and uncountable other resources including our many unemployed persons.
Our citizens should be invited to participate in ascertaining the American Dream... If a business entreprenuer wants to bring a franchise concept to Cuyahoga County, Ohio-they should be excited and welcomed with open arms to bring their business here...not dissuaded by destructive government forces and negative attitudes.
It's time to link our business investors with every resource available within our means to promote business investment in Northeast Ohio. It's time to provide incentives that have been available for generations to new and aspiring small business investors!
The citizens are absolutely right, we need to stop spending money on ineffective and non productive not for profit agencies who are top heavy. We need to fund based on merit and innovation. I offer to inspire and invite investments into Cuyahoga County by both local and global investors.
Our people are our greatest asset and they deserve opportunities to overcome the issues relative to the recession... Small Business investment from every single aspect should be welcomed by our administration...not disdainfully deferred.
Uncountable local investors are disillusioned about dealing with our county government agencies to do business. Ultimately, historical practices revolve around "who you knew, not what you know" in our county. Those corrupt practices should no longer be tolerated if we expect to reform the attitude of business investors and invite them into our community.
Cuyahoga County has world class artists, business investors, and families who are looking forward to achieving thier American Dreams. We should open our arms to these motivated people are are willing to do business in our community. I invite the public to stop supporting the "machine" that has disempowered so many families. It's time to have faith in your future leadership that you, the citizens come first...not other pals in the regime. No more back room deals. No more wasteful spending. No more discouraging business investment. No more stepping on our citizens. It's time for the citizens and investors of Cuyahoga County to come 1st on January 1, 2011.... That's right.... Their interests should come first and foremost. Until then, I ask you to understand the options available with the Film Tax Credit for Ohio that would have been a great resource to offer such an entity as Disney World!
The local Disney World Store is at Great Northern Mall in North Olmsted and they are open as we discuss this concept. Since the Disney World realm is unfamiliar to most of our citizens regarding their business investments around the globe, it might intrigue you all to know about their many subsideries.
If our community leaders had enough vision to promote & invite world class business investment, consider the possibilites, or of if they would inspire global business entities to consider the possibilities within our region...Then perhaps we'd have different results. Cuyahoga County has extraordinary assets incuding the Ohio Film Tax Incentive. Disney is also a great educator, providing extraordinary training to its employees and working with its communities.

YOU HAVE UNTIL TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 07, 2010 for the PRIMARY ELECTION...
Dianna Hill brings personality, promise of 'military-style' rule to Cuyahoga County executive race, Says Henry Gomez of the Plain Dealer.
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- In the crowded contest to be the first Cuyahoga County executive, perhaps no candidate is more colorful than Dianna Lynn Hill.
She entered the race memorably, introducing herself as an "ignorant hillbilly" when she delivered her signatures to the Board of Elections minutes before the filing deadline.
Among local bloggers, she is known as the feisty "ANGELnWARD14" -- a name she began using last year to talk politics and community development on websites such as RealNEO.us.
At candidate forums, some of which she has had to invite herself to, the former U.S. Army reservist promises "military-style" leadership. And as opponents offer familiar ideas for economic recovery, she's pushing a plan to open a Walt Disney World franchise in Cleveland.
"Or a small [Disney] resort," Hill, 35, said in a recent interview. She believes the concept would promote education and fit well with the city's goals to attract more movie projects.
Hill, an unemployed single mother from Cleveland's near West Side, said she is mounting her first-ever campaign for public office because she wants to end corruption. An ongoing federal probe of county government has brought more than 30 guilty pleas, with more charges expected.
The investigation fueled last year's passage of a reform measure that will replace the three elected commissioners with the new county executive and an 11-member council.
Hill cites low voter turnout in recent elections and believes citizens are tired of politicians.
"I understand your concerns with the historical practices of our past leadership, and I am here to provide that CHANGE that YOU, the American Public, have been hoping for to revitalize YOUR American Spirit!" Hill wrote in one piece of campaign literature.
Yet some of her comments are head-scratchers.
After a recent interview, she mentioned leaders such as John F. Kennedy and the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and said she could be assassinated and be at peace, because "I wasn't corrupt."
Hill was born and raised in Northeast Ohio. She graduated from Cleveland Central Catholic High School and spent a year at Norwich University in Vermont before money ran out at home.
After returning to Cleveland, she worked various jobs and joined the Army Reserve.
Hill got her first taste of politics and citizen activism while working at Bosak's Dairy, a convenience store and milk processing plant. In the early 1990s, some neighbors complained about noisy trucks that blocked the street. Despite a petition drive led by dairy supporters, city officials began pressuring the owners with parking restrictions. The dairy eventually closed.
"You mess with a small-business owner long enough, they're going to give up," Hill said.
Other jobs over the years included bookkeeping and marketing.
In 2005, Hill launched Angel's Happy Home Network, an "umbrella" for real estate investment and consulting services she provided. Since 2006, she has been caring for her father, a disabled Vietnam veteran who splits his time between Cleveland and Harrison County in east central Ohio.
Between her father and 8-year-old daughter, Hill said she has no time for paid work. She receives food stamps and medical benefits administered by Cuyahoga County. Hill also said she receives Social Security dependent benefits for her daughter, whose father died last year.
Hill believes her use of public assistance makes her uniquely qualified to run the county.
She said she would model social services after those offered in Harrison County, where she was impressed with how responsive officials were to her father's needs. There, she said, all agency directors analyze cases together to determine which department can offer what.
Hill offered fewer details when asked about how she would approach other county issues.
In a meeting last month with The Plain Dealer's editorial board, she said she favors loans for small businesses, "green" development and reducing unemployment, but she lacked specifics.
During a subsequent interview, Hill said the key to solving budget problems is "transparency and accountability" -- an answer she used several variations of to respond to other questions.
In a later e-mail, she acknowledged some of her more unconventional responses.
"I know my answers are a little different that most candidates," she wrote, "but that is because I am 'A DIFFERENT BREED OF CANDIDATE!' I am a SOLDIER, NOT A POLITICIAN!"
