Why Phillip Morris would bring Carl Stokes’s name into a discussion of a dull mayoral race is beyond me. Stokes wasn’t in any dull mayoral elections. Not in 1969. Not ever.

Whereas, HR 676, authored by Congressmen John Conyers and Dennis Kucinich provides for Medicare for All, a universal, single payer, not-for-profit health care system which means the end of premiums, copays and deductibles; and

Ladies start rounding up your pins and needles as well as looking for those unusual odds and ends of yard goods that will put your mark in an american quilt.

Also bring your moms and grandma, aunts, sisters, daughters, nieces, etc.  This is a simple class and everyone can sew.

Yesterday I spent the better part of the day in the kitchen cooking. I had an abundance of harvest both from my garden and the farm's "family holdback" produce I had carried home over the past two weeks. I had to take all that fresh produce and prepare it for eating over the next few weeks and months.

Last weekend - summer squash blanched and prepared for freezing - summer onions chopped and packaged for the freezer, mizuna pesto prepared for stuffing tomatoes and for sandwich spread for the weekend trip to Detroit, first modest corn harvested - steamed and eaten with no added anything - delicious! Who knew you could grow any corn on 6 hours of sun a day?

If Jackson's stodges on Cleveland City Council go along with Jacob's aquarium scheme, Cleveland will once again allow itself to be used by a developer to further our national image as a second-rate, amateur town--a joke.

Do I need to point out that we have polluted Lake Erie and our Great Lakes to the point that native animal and plant communities no longer exist?  So, what are we going to feature at this Great Lakes Aquarium?  Sheepshead and carp?

I finally convinced my significant other to bicycle down to Rockside and we did it today.  He is not too happy with me now that we are home with our sore backsides, but the experience was worth it.

 

All the B&B Wrecking demolition equipment is gone from HoJo's - now B&B is hard at work tearing down the Carnegie Medical Building.   The new construction trailer and signage advertizes Lakeview - apartment/condo complex.   Evolution-Construction.com appears to be the builder.

 

Hugger-Mugger channels have brought to light the possibility that Civic Builders may be in the process of reviving the West 8th (multi unit housing on a postage size lot)  Development with the help of certain community leaders by circumventing the block club process and going straight to the zoning board. 

Of course, we all know this is business at the same old stand in Tremont.
