"Cleveland has lost more population and housing in the past 5 years than previous trends would have suggested.... The movement of many poor residents to the suburbs surrounding Cleveland is one aspect of the new reality. A early sign of this trend can be seen in the growth of foodstamp recipients in many suburban municipalities.

You don’t understand the power and cost of small, supposedly inconsequential taxes on “little people” in contrast to taxes that hit the “big people” unless and until you total up the cost. Then only blindness hides the truth.

VOTE NO ON ISSUE 3.
There are many reasons why this issue should go down in defeat, as far as I'm concerned, not least being the fact that Cleveland is such a poor city already we don't need more outlets for the poorest to spend all their money on an if/come situation.

What do we really know about Dan Gilbert? Not much. But it sounds as if he’s the kind of guy that plays one city off against another for his own benefit.

I went by the Richmond building to see what was happening after Oengus reported about a potential sale of the building to perhaps the All Crane parties. Behind the Richmond Building is a neighborhood of single family buildings with a few industrials thrown in. There was some good graffiti, and these chimneys, colored by temperature.
Just goes to show, it isn't only the flowers who express themselves.

Ed Hauser is a perfect example of why we need to fund public health care in the US. Ed volunteered hours, days and months of his time and energy to promote good public governance in North East Ohio. But with no "employer", Ed had no health care insurance.

Here are some places where you too can check out the wonderful world of Open Source software. This stuff runs on MS PC's, some on Mac's and most on Linux. Weither you use it on a corporate network, a small business setup, classroom or personal use, you can't go wrong, but you can be mis-informed. And I might add, if you tried this stuff out in the past, Open Source software is being upgraded and updated and improved everyday.

Pilots on Food Stamps By Michael Moore
We're on the descent from 20,000 feet in the air when the flight attendant leans over the elderly woman next to me and taps me on the shoulder.
"I'm listening to Lady Gaga," I say as I remove just one of the ear buds. I know not this Lady Gaga, but her performance last week on SNL was fascinating.
"The pilots would like to see you in the cockpit when we land," she says with a southern drawl.
