In checking the Court Docket today, it seems that several new foreclosure cases have been filed by National City Bank against Tremont's Lori Properties, Inc., (West 6th and West 5th Street high-end condos owned by developer Sammy Catania and built by Sutton Builders). CV-09-686026 - $91,811.51
TWDC's own Development Director, Roberta Rocco and Catania Investments, Inc., will be spending time before Judge Joan Synenberg since National City Bank is taking back the West 6th Street vacant lot property too, to the tune of $85,869.51 - filed 8/13/09.

Anne Trubek for Good Magazine - Civic leaders and artists are coming up with some interesting ideas, and often the line between the two groups is blurred. The perfectly-named Unreal Estate Agency in Detroit is aimed at showcasing “new types of urban practices (architecturally, artistically, institutionally, everyday life, etc) that came into existence, creating a new value system in Detroit,” including helping people purchase and rehab a home for under $5,000.

Max Eternity - Remember Monkey Pox and Avian Bird Flu? And what was the name of that flesh eating bacteria that was supposed to sweep the nation a few years back. Oh yea I remember now--Ebola...remember that one?
It's all too bizarre. And where do all these so-called diseases come from anyway? But never mind that, because I've got an even better question to ask you.

Where will your apple sauce come from, this winter? How about your canned tomatoes, beans and corn? Catchup... salsa... pickles? What about those foods that will be served to inmates in our Cuyahoga County correctional facilities... where will they have been grown and what labor will have processed the food, packaged it, and handled it through the supply chain?

The Huffington Post - New York Congressman Jerry Nadler, a senior Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, told the Huffington Post that he believed that President Obama would be breaking the law if he decided to oppose launching investigation into the authorization of torture.

The parking lot of Lincoln West had a lot of broken glass on the pavement, and weeds were growing around the lot. Not a pretty site for a public school prope
